First time in this afternoon, just before the Saints playoff game with the 49ers Met Rob Osborn, one of the managers, as he cooked my burger and fries... made to order. He is quick and good. Great tasting burger and fries. Rob shared with me the fact that all of his ingredients are fresh and never frozen... other than the ice cream for his thick milk shakes. All fries are hand-cut daily and cooked to order, just like his burgers. And like some one once said. "I'll be back"

Relatively new place; has been open about five months. Tonight I was the only person there at dinner time, although, I hear it is immensely popular with pre-teens. The burgers are all cooked well done and served (Five Guys style) with two patties per bun. They have cheddar, Swiss, and American cheese, but only one slice per burger. The burger was as good as Five Guys, but not Cruisers. The french fries were excellent, and (like Five Guys) served oversize in a paper cup. Germaphobes beware the girl that took my order and payment went straight from cashiering to dip fries out of the cooler with her hand and throwing them into the fryer. The only thing not tasty was the milkshake which was basically melted ice cream. The staff was extremely friendly, but novice cooks.

I enjoy Five Guys. I love a delicious bacon cheeseburger with greasy french fries every once in a while. And today -- because Subway was CASH ONLY with their registers down during lunch -- I went to Sharky's. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Hot Sauce, Mustard and Ketchup and a small fry. I waited 15 minutes for my to-go order, lingering around the front of the restaurant. There were only 3-4 other parties of people in the restaurant, so I was curious as to why it took as long as it did, but I'm rarely ever in a HURRY, so it didn't bother me all that much. I got home and ate my meal and overall, just felt average about the whole experience. Nothing was delicious or gave me any reason to go back again. I think the staff was incredibly friendly during my interactions with them, but as far as the food goes, nothing with a "wow" factor. Clean restaurant. TV inside. Plenty of seating in the front and back.

I'm not much of a review writer but this place was clean. (Even the restrooms). Usually small joints like this aren't on my visit list but we were told the burgers were great so we had to see for ourselves. Definitely a good burger, fries were fresh and cooked how we like them. Topped off with a couple milk shakes to make me want to come back again. The staff were all smiles.

Love this place!! The staff is friendly and the food is good. Even though it's primarily known as a "burger place," I highly recommend both the fish sandwich as well as the pork sandwich. Both are great! The food's not cheap but then again, you're in Ponte Vedra so it comes with the territory....I also love the fact that I can call in an order and it's typically ready in 10 minutes. If I'm choosing a place for a quick meal that's good and a place that's clean and the staff is friendly, this is the place in PVB!!

Flavor of burger reminds me of that "drug store" grill flavor I remember when I was young. Our favorite and regular burger stop. This is not a gourmet burger joint, just great old fashion hamburgers fixed on a griddle and with only the condiments of your choosing, including fresh or cooked onions. Fresh cut fries are outstanding and worth the visit by themselves. Fountain drinks, fresh iced tea (sweet or unsweetened) or bottled beer or wine if that's your fancy. Shakes are good too. Not warming the buns keeps Sharky's from getting 5 stars. Worth a visit.

Great neighborhood find! Burgers tasted really fresh, good portion size, owner is so friendly and brought the food to the table himself (he even gave our little girl a bit of ice cream for free) and clean. Right next to the Starbucks and always passed it on A1A but now that we know that it is there, we will be back!

A hole in the wall place with excellent burgers and the best fries I have had in forever. Staff was over the top friendly and helpful. the burger was cooked perfectly and seasoned to bring out the flavor of the beef without covering it with salt . Fries were amazing with just the right crispness and touch of salt. No grease was to be found in the basket. Milk shakes were old fashioned " milky" renditions just like the old days. Sharkys is a great little place with A true neighborhood feeling. it's easy to miss so look to the left of Starbucks in the old Fresh Market center......... Great addition to the south end of Ponte Vedra.

Horrified. Went in on Saturday while it was pouring rain, there were two people working behind the counter. The male was busy making a shake or some other type drink while a female worked the grill. We were greeted and told it would be a moment, well thank God for that moment! As I stood there and watched I got a very good look at their kitchen. ***I was Horrified*** I watched the female behind the grill touch her face, scratch her hair that was not in a net then TOUCH FOOD with her UN-GLOVED hands repeatedly. She reached into one space, grabbed a piece of cheese, tossed in on the grill, touched multiple other surfaces, touched her face, brushed the hair out of her face, touch more food... Then I really started to look around at how DIRTY everything looked. I also took note of the unsafe floors not having down slip mats down were there was water on the floor and the two staff behind the line not in nonslip shoes. Lucky for them I am not the health or labor department. While all of this sunk in I realized I could not stand there any longer, I had been waiting long enough and had seen enough that it was time to leave. Sharky's I hope you read this and get it together. I'm not sure that I will go back to check if you've made appropriate changes due to my level of disgust but I hope for the health of your patrons and the safety of your employees you make changes immediately.

When the Five Guys in Jax Beach closed, I was a little sad. It was a little bit of a hike, but the next closest one was on Hodges. So I needed something in the surrounding vicinity to give me that quick-service burger fix. Sharky's has been on the scene for a while, but I had not had the opportunity to go in and give them a try. First stop in, I wasn't really in the mood for a burger so I went with a grilled cheese with bacon & tomato. It was A-OK. Not super impressed, but definitely better than some. The fries immediately reminded me of Five Guys and they hit the spot. I decided to give them a second try before I passed judgement. On my first visit, I noticed they had a large call-in customer base, so this time I planned ahead. I went for the Bacon Cheeseburger with onion rings. The onion rings were tasty. The shark sauce (spicy ranch-like dipping sauce) was kickin'. The burger was made just as I ordered it. No complaints here. Will be back to try more burger combinations for sure. During the week, they run a lunch special: $9.99 for burger, fries & drink. Not too bad for a quick lunch.

I tried out this place a long time ago when I lived in the area. The ordering set up reminded me a lot of five guys. I ordered the cheeseburger all the way and some fries. The burger was pretty good and had less grease than a five guys burger. What I liked was that it was close to my house and it was small business which is always a plus to me. If you are ever in the area I would suggest giving this place a try.

We decided to stop by Sharky's after a beach day, so we came hungry. I ordered a 1/2 lb burger with fries, my kids got a grilled cheese and my other half ordered a super bacon cheeseburger. It was only a few minutes later that they brought our food to the table. The burgers were juicy and delicious, and the fries were hot and crispy. The grilled cheese was also pretty good and my girls enjoyed it. They also liked that they let them pick out a sea creature from their goodie bag. All in all it was an excellent experience and it really hit the spot. We've decided to make it our beach day tradition.

Small kinda fast food place in a strip plaza. It had great reviews so we decided to check it out. Excellent beef and turkey burgers!! Great friendly service too. A little pricy IMHO, but now everything is. Excellent meal.

Five Guys is definitely the obvious comparison here - your burger comes wrapped in foil, the patty is similarly cooked, and so on - but a) you can get a fried egg on that sucker and b) the closest Five Guys is way up in Jax Beach, so copycat or no, Sharky's is definitely filling a need here. I actually preferred the Sharky's fries to Five Guys' - I prefer my fries more fried and less giant potato stick, so Sharky's delivers there. Prices weren't great - burger with egg and fries set me back $10ish - but hey, neither is Five Guys or anything else in Ponte Vedra, so it's probably priced right. The egg was over medium, though I assume they'd have made me over easy if I had specified. Service was great and there's malt vinegar for your fries. Worth stopping in if you're in the area.
